Gnanavel Raja regrets his comments on Ameer Sultan

Kollywood producer Gnanavel Raja has feeling regret to his comments on director Ameer regarding Paruthiveeran issue. The producer, who is now known for production of big budget movies in the Tamil film industry for more than 10 years, faced severe backlash for his comments which includes severe criticism against him from the Kollywood filmmakers group, following the trolls from other side.

Kollywood celebrities voicing out their anguish against the insulting remarks made by Gnanavel on Ameer. Several members of the film fraternity, including director Samuthirakani, Sasikumar, Bharathiraja and other fellow directors, voiced their support for Ameer. Tamil Cinema again proved that directors are the backbone of the film industry, If it would have happenned in Tollywood, no one probably voiced to support that director, ameer is so lucky in that case, everyone coming forward to support him for the insulting remarks made by Gnanavel Raja, expecilly the technicians.

Gnanavel Raja regrets his comments on Ameer Sultan

Seeing this backlash, Gnanavel Raja, released a note on his twitter account.

He Writes,

The Paruthiveeran movie issue has been ongoing for the past 17 years, and I have never spoken about it. I have always referred to him as Ameer Anna (brother). I have socialised with his family very closely. Recently, his statements about me in recent interviews hurt me deeply. In reaction to that, I used some words. If they had hurt him, I repent it wholeheartedly. I respect the film industry and the people in it who keep me alive. Thanks.

In a note released by Gnanavel Raja that spoke about paruthiveeran issue, the producer mentioned that he was felling regret for his comments made on director Ameer and apologised for hurting anyone.

Even though its not an appology its a statement feeling that he is regretting for the words he used in the interview.

Remarks made by Gnanavel Raja on Ameer

Gnanvelraja said that Ameer has increased the budget of Paruthiveeran and learnt filmmaking only with the movie. He also involved director Sudha Kongara saying that she also once conveyed me that Ameer doesn’t know any filmmaking, after watching the Ram movie in 2005. All of these statements landed him in trouble as many big personalities of Tamil cinema has come out against such bad remarks made on Ameer sultan.
