Natural Star Nani has built a reputation for selecting films with strong content. Following the success of ‘Dasara’ and ‘Hi Nanna,’ he is back with another anticipated project, reuniting with director Vivek Athreya after their first collaboration on ‘Ante Sundaraniki.’

Expectations for ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ are soaring, fueled by the successful partnership of Nani and Vivek Athreya, the inclusion of SJ Suryah, and the intriguing concept of the Sanivaram fight. But does the film meet these high expectations?

Nani delivers a solid performance as Surya, while SJ Suryah shines as Daya, stealing the spotlight with his remarkable acting. Priyanka Arul Mohan is as charming as Charu, though her role offers little room for performance. Supporting actors like Sai Kumar also deliver commendable performances.

The narrative centers around Surya (played by Nani), a middle-class man with a calm demeanor but a lifelong struggle with anger management. Advised by his mother to suppress his anger until Saturdays, Surya’s journey leads to a confrontation with Daya (played by SJ Suryah). The plot unfolds as we explore the connection between Surya and the residents of Sokulapalem.

The first half has its engaging moments, particularly the development of Surya and Daya’s characters, but the romantic subplot fails to contribute meaningfully to the story. The interval scene builds anticipation, but the second half becomes predictable, with few surprises. Although the action sequences are well-executed, the prolonged Sokulapalem scenes make the latter half feel dragged out.

In addition to Nani and SJ Suryah, composer Jakes Bejoy stands out, enhancing every scene with a powerful background score. In summary, ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ is a decent commercial entertainer worth watching once.
