Story:
Animal is the story of Arjun Singh played by Ranbir Kapoor who is the son of a richest person Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), who turns into a violent person because of his disturbing childhood. The bad childhood leaves a very strong and brutal impression on Arjun Singh who becomes so violent. He marries his love interest Geethanjali played by Rashmika Mandana but their relationship disturbs because of the violent love of Ranbir shown on his Father. Rest of the story showcases the journey of Arjun Singh and how he continue the legacy of this father.

As the director said in many of his interviews, Animal is surely a celebration of Madness. The emotional love story of the hero towards his father is showcased in such a dark manner that it has never been touched in Indian films before. Ranbir Kapoor stuns you with his performance which is surely award winning. The way he brings the pathos and emotion in his character is something else and drives the film completely. His dialogue delivery, the aggression he shows and the emotional manner in which he showcases his love towards his father is superb. With this film, his star status will surely go to the PAN India level.
Minus Points:
- North Indian Nativity could be a minus for some of the South Indian audiences but at the same time its not a moajor negative in Telugu as they commonly likes any film irrespective of the language, nativity, style, etc.
- Its definitely an avergae film for certain section of Family audience
- The film needs serious trim of at least 15 minutes. The film is undoubtedly slow in parts and one needs to have a lot of patience to sit through the proceedings.
ANIMAL Premiers Review:
ANIMAL team has premiered few shows in AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad. According to the people who watched ANIMAL premiers in Hyderabad, Animal is the quintessential mass entertainer, Sandeep Reddy Vanga creates a powerful film on family and machismo. Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor are good, RanbirKapoor is outstanding.
First Half Review:
Right from the hero & heroine introduction scene with Mani Ratnam’s Roja songs as background score to the 20-minute interval action sequence, it’s Sandeep Vanga show all the way with a terrific performance by Ranbir Kapoor. The first half is a bit lengthy & a few scenes are dragged but barring these minor flaws..
Final Verdict:
ANIMAL is visual Feast of Madness.
