“Vidya Vasula Aham,” a new Telugu movie, has debuted on Aha Video, featuring Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajashekar in the lead roles. Directed by Manikanth Gelli. This romantic comedy film was produced by Navya Mahesh M., Ranjith Kumar Kodali, and Chandana Katta.
The plot centers on Vasu (Rahul Vijay), a mechanical engineer whose parents are eager to see him married. Vidya (Shivani Rajashekar), an ambitious young woman, has high expectations for her future spouse. The two eventually marry, but their relationship soon suffers from ego clashes. How they resolve these issues forms the core of the story.
Though movies exploring ego conflicts are common, “Vidya Vasula Aham” fails to bring a fresh perspective. The thin plot and predictable storyline make it dull from the start. Despite a few engaging moments, the film overall falls flat. Rahul Vijay’s performance as Vasu is passable in some scenes but lacks consistency. Shivani Rajashekar’s portrayal of Vidya is commendable in parts. The supporting cast performs adequately.
Director Manikanth Gelli attempts a modern narrative but fails to deliver an engaging story. In summary, “Vidya Vasula Aham” is a rom-com that might be worth watching if you have no other plans for the weekend, but it’s otherwise skippable.
