Love Guru Review & Rating: As we all know, Vijay Anoty rose to fame with the Bichagadu Telugu movie. After that, he released a few films in Telugu but didn’t do well. Again, he came with Bichagadu 2 and basked the success; now he has come up with another flick titled ‘Love Guru’, which was originally made in Tamil and released today as Romeo. Vijay Antony and his team aggressively promoted the film in Telugu and the film got a positive response from premieres held in Hyderabad. Let’s get into the in-depth review and know whether the film is worth watching or not.
Love Guru Review & Rating
Love Guru has a relatable plot that connects with married people. We have seen a few films that talk about marriage and this Love Guru also talks about marriage but in a unique way. This interesting tale is directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan, who came up with a contemporary subject and executed it quite well. Farook J. Basha captured the film beautifully and Barath Dhanasekar’s songs are not up to par, but the background score was good. Vijay Antony’s editing could have been crisper in the second half. Meera Vijay Antony produced this film under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation.

The story is about Aravind (Vijay Antony), a businessman, who returns to his village from Malesia to marry Leela (Mirnalini Ravi). Everything seems smooth until Aravind knows Leela’s original character. How does Aravind cope with Leela after he gets to know that she got married to him just to escape from her parents pressure?
Plus Points:
- Vijay Antony’s comedy and his dance
- Mirnalini Ravi’s performance and dialogue delivery were quite impressive
- VTV Ganesh and Yogi Babu generated brilliant humor
- Writing is good in parts
Minus Points:
- Predictable story
- Lack of emotional depth
- The second half could have been much better when compared to the first half
- Telugu dubbing could have been good
Love Guru Movie Review
Love Guru’s entire first half is filled with relatable scenes, the characters introductions, the story setup, comedy, and everything else that lands well. Particularly, it’s a treat to watch Vijay Antony do comedy and dance. The problem with the film is the second half; the aimless narrative makes us bored. Vinayak Vaithianathan missed the narrative flow in the second half; the repetitive scenes, lack of emotions, and the fact that the core point didn’t have a proper confrontation in the later part are big letdowns.
Final Verdict:
Though Love Guru is a predictable tale, the film has its moments. Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi performances, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh are what make us watch the film.
